A year ago today I drove from Palm Springs to LA, then got up the next day and drove to San Francisco. All alone, in the tiny rental car pictured below, it was fantastic. I took notes and intended to blog some of my two-week vacation, but it never happened. Now that I'm trapped in snowy Chicago, suffering from the grad school blues, I thought I'd reflect… on sunnier times.

It's no secret, I have mad love for California and it's a struggle not to visit every year. Highlights from this trip include: great modern architecture, an open road, sunshine, the beach, and amazing friends along the way. #iwanttogotothere

32 & juicy.

Ever since recieving a fancy juicer for Xmas I've been exploring fun combos. Somehow randomly combining whatever is in my fridge at the time has resulted in rather tasty surprises (sans the time I used grapefruit — lesson learned). Adding peach to the mixup was genius and since this has been my favorite combination by far, I thought I'd share: 5 medium-sized juicing oranges, 2 super ripe peaches, 1 medium carrot. #yum

The carrot keeps it from going in the direction of too sweet and it gives it that bright color (bonus). This recipe makes about 2–3 delicious servings. Also, how beautiful are those numerals?

Quite Strong co-curated an exhibit with Twelve Galleries on the topic of Support. The show featured 6 artists + 20 Lust List designers. Opening night was a hit, despite the snow storm that was taking place outside the gallery. You can check out the preview in TimeOut Chicago!
