twenty-seven + 2011 recap.

My birthday was earlier this week, but I'm still eating cake and doing nothing — so the celebration continues! Twenty-six was busy, but so good to me:

  • Taking a two-year break from your career to go back to school never sounds ideal, but I could not have chosen a better time to attend grad school. My classmates are amazing and the workload is a healthy (or not?) balance somewhere between challenge, hard work, and reward.
  • Another year, another nephew! My family back in Michigan keeps growing and I continue to have great friends and awesome clients here in Chicago. I love love love this city.
  • The women of Quite Strong continue to be an inspiration to me and as we close out our second year as a collaborative we're still going… strong.

I hate when people say, "life is good", but life is good. I'll be working on a list of resolutions and wishing you all a happy and healthy 2012, cheers!

golden birthday.

pink presents.

Today I turn 26. I've been too busy to write a fancy birthday post, but summing up the past year is simple — I'm the happiest I've ever been and I owe thanks to everyone and everything in it! 25 might be impossible to top, but it doesn't mean I'm not going to try :)

Love & luck in 2011,

quarter century old + 2009 recap.

I am about to skip town for the holidays (sans laptop — wahoo!), but I must admit I'm turning 25 this Saturday. It's kind of a big deal... hello, adulthood (for real this time). 2009 has honestly been the most amazing year, so cheers to life and all the people who make it so great!

  • I replaced my dinosaur powerbook with a shiny new MBP.
  • I started biking to work on a regular basis (until it snowed).
  • I was able to visit both Taliesin and Taliesin West.
  • I spent 4th of July with 3 of the most amazing people I know.
  • My dog surpassed my age (in doggy years).
  • I paid off my credit card.
  • I finally launched my portfolio site.

Did I miss anything?
